Executive Director, Real Estate
Jason Meyer is an executive director for Global Investors Group and chief executive officer for the firm's dedicated real estate group, Global Real Estate Investors. As head of real estate, he is responsible for overall global real estate strategy, new business development, and business management, including oversight of staff professionals located in the United States and Canada and Australia. As a 12-year veteran in commercial real estate, Jason's expertise includes product and fund design, new business development, portfolio strategy and investment management. He also has substantial transaction experience originating and approving over $2 billion in investments for Global Real Estate Investors and its clients. Jason chairs the board of Global Real Estate Investors. He also serves as the chair of numerous other Global Real Estate Investors subsidiaries. Jason joined the firm in 2004. He received an MBA in finance and a bachelor's degree in finance and marketing from the University of Wisconsin. Jason is a member of the Commercial Mortgage Association (CMA) and the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFRE). He also serves on the board of the National Association of Investment Managers (NAIM).

Managing Director, New Business Development
Jason is a managing director, new business development at Global Real Estate Investors, the dedicated real estate group of Principal Global Investors. Since joining Principal in 2004, Jason has developed extensive experience in all aspects of commercial real estate and has contributed in helping Principal achieve national recognition as a market leader. Jason has been responsible for strategic development, commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) issuance, portfolio management, advisory services, investment production, operations and overall financial performance. He currently serves as a member of Global Real Estate Investors' investment committee and strategic working group. From 2004 to 2008, Jason worked directly with Washington Mutual, as executive vice president of commercial real estate. In this capacity, he was responsible for building a national commercial real estate lending platform including the introduction and successful execution of a CMBS loan origination and issuance program. He rejoined Principal in 2005. Jason received a bachelor's degree in business administration.
